Arsenal could change system after ‘big’ Alexandre Lacazette reveal pre-Southampton – expert
Arsenal could start Alexandre Lacazette and Gabriel Martinelli up front together against Southampton.
That is according to former Highbury favourite Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about a potential system change for the trip to St. Mary’s.
Lacazette has struggled in losses to Crystal Palace and Brighton this month.

Arsenal’s captain has also missed training this week because of “private reasons”.
However, as quoted Football.London (15 April), Mikel Arteta revealed there is “a good possibility” that Lacazette will be available to face the Saints.
Arteta added that Martinelli playing as a striker was an “option.”
When asked for his assessment of Lacazette’s form, Campbell told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “The manager trains with the team all of the time.
“He knows what Lacazette brings. But Lacazette has rightly come under fire because in the last couple of games he’s been nowhere near it.
“The fans want him to succeed and score. They don’t mind if he doesn’t score so long as he does the other stuff. But when he doesn’t do that, there is no threat. It is a big problem.

“Martinelli’s game is not like Lacazette’s and Arteta knows that. He’d be throwing Martinelli to the wolves if he played him through the middle. The fans think he could just go and play there but there’s more to it.
“There could be a change to the system though where Lacazette and Martinelli play up top. That could be something Arteta looks at.”
In other news, an expert has claimed Arsenal could sign a ‘better’ and ‘cheaper’ alternative to Dominic Calvert-Lewin after source’s update.
