‘Arsenal to reluctantly accept Ethan Nwaneri offer for PSR reasons’
Arsenal have been tipped to sell talented youngster Ethan Nwaneri to balance the books at the Emirates Stadium ahead of next season.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a successful breakout campaign for the Gunners last term, notching nine goals and two assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
However, Nwaneri’s Arsenal contract expires next summer amid the speculation surrounding his future in North London.
Furthermore, the teenager’s game time next term will be limited by the presence of England star Bukayo Saka, who returned from his injury in April.

Arsenal tipped to sell Nwaneri this summer
Nwaneri further demonstrated his talent by appearing in all six games during England’s triumphant European Under-21 Championship campaign last month.
But Arsenal could further limit their academy graduate’s starting 11 opportunities next season by signing Noni Madueke from Chelsea ahead of next season.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [6 July], former Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew said: “I think with a year to go and he hasn’t signed a new contract and the fact that he’s all profit on the PSR for Arsenal, I think he would be sold.
“Hopefully, for Ethan Nwaneri, he’s a young talent, I really like him, actually. I think he’s a great signing for another Premier League team.
“I’m sure Arsenal would like to keep him, and the boy will definitely want to play.
“Could he get in that team at the moment? I don’t know.”
Mikel Arteta should not cash in on Nwaneri
Football Insider verdict
Pardew is right to outline that selling Nwaneri would help Arsenal’s PSR status, as he is an academy graduate who the North Londoners have not had to spend a transfer fee on.

Furthermore, the 18-year-old would likely enjoy more game time away from the Emirates Stadium, as Arteta is highly unlikely to regularly remove Saka from his starting lineup.
However, the Gunners will be vying to win the Premier League title next season, as well as progressing as far as possible in both domestic cup competitions and the Champions League.
With that in mind, Arteta is likely to rotate his squad, which would give Nwaneri vital minutes, particularly against lesser opponents who he is capable of shining against.
While the teenager scored for Arsenal against lower division opponents, Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup last term, he also notched a Premier League goal against Manchester City.
Nwaneri boasts great potential, and the Gunners should be more keen to renew his contract than to sell him.
