Arsenal expected to launch Mykhaylo Mudryk bid after source's reveal - Campbell
Kevin Campbell has tipped Arsenal to make a move for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker heaped praise on the 21-year-old winger who “fits the profile” wanted Mikel Arteta.
Mudryk has starred for Shakhtar Donetsk this season and has scored against both RB Leipzig and Celtic in the Champions League.
Speaking to CBS Sports, via the Standard (9 September), the Ukraine international revealed he “dreams” of playing in the Premier League and named Arsenal as a potential destination.
Sources have told Football Insider (15 September) that Newcastle United are also interested in signing the winger in the new year.
Mudryk has four years remaining on his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk.

When asked by Football Insider if the Gunners would likely rival Newcastle for Mudryk’s signature, Campbell said: “I definitely think so.
“His performances in the Champions League have made everybody go, ‘Woah, this is the lad.’
“He has got a good attitude, is quick and is direct. He fits the profile of what Mikel Arteta and Arsenal want because he is a young player.
“I think he is going to develop into something quite special. They call him the Ukrainian Neymar for a reason. All of these comparisons can be to the detriment of a player but he seems to relish in it.
“I am sure Arsenal will look at him in January depending on Shakhtar.”
