Arsenal fans fume at ‘unbearable’ Gary Neville after what he said live on air

Arsenal fans have been left raging at Gary Neville after he accused their players of time-wasting and feigning injuries during their clash with Man City.

Mikel Arteta’s side fought bravely to secure a draw at the Etihad after goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes gave them a 2-1 lead following Erling Haaland’s opener.

However, they were eventually unlocked by a last-minute goal from John Stones following a scramble in the box which allowed him to poke the ball home for the game to end 2-2.

The second half saw Arteta’s men sitting deep to defend what they had, which included multiple players going down with cramp and other issues.

During his commentary live on Sky Sports, Neville suggested the players suffering with cramp were wasting time, while he also shared: “Michael Oliver is dismissing cramp as an idea,” when the referee told Gabriel Martinelli to get up from his knock.

However, Martinelli, Calafiori and Jurrien Timber were all taken off late in the game due to their issues, which led to a weakened Arsenal team on the field.

It was following the changes that City eventually broke their resolve, and had they not experienced issues with cramp, there would have been no need for the changes.

This has left the Arsenal supporters raging at Neville’s commentary and the apparent accusation of their players cheating to earn a result away from home.
