Arsenal fans say the same thing about William Saliba after France ‘stinker’
Arsenal fans were delighted to see William Saliba play poorly on the international stage after links to Real Madrid continue to build.
The 23-year-old completely wiped out Belgium striker Lois Openda to concede a penalty in France’s 2-1 UEFA Nations League win on Monday (October 14).
Thankfully for the centre-back, Youri Tielemans was unable to convert the spot-kick and a brace from Randal Kolo Muani was enough to secure a tight victory.
Not only did Saliba concede the penalty, but he also failed to complete a single tackle or win a ground duel across the 90 minutes.
According to French outlet Le10Sport, Saliba is Real Madrid’s number one transfer target for next summer as they seek to completely overhaul their defence.

At club level, Saliba has become arguably the best centre-back in the Premier League, playing a pivotal role in two consecutive title challenges for Arsenal and seemingly doing the same thing this season.
