Arsenal fans slammed by pundit amid ‘incredible’ Martin Odegaard verdict
Kevin Campbell has claimed a lot of Arsenal fans do not appreciate the “incredible” talent of Martin Odegaard.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker said the 23-year-old “does not get the recognition he deserves” for making “the team tick”.
Odegaard has established himself as a regular starter for Mikel Arteta’s side since November.
The Norway international impressed in a 2-1 win over Wolves on Thursday night.
Speaking to club media ahead of the match (23 February), Odegaard revealed that he “feels at home” in north London.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Odegaard’s form, Campbell said: “I love discussing Odegaard.
“He is an absolutely exceptional player. He is so, so talented.
“A lot of fans do not value him enough. Most of the time he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
“But he has an economy to his play and a wand of a left foot. He lends the ball, gives it and gets it back. He makes the team tick.
“When he gets a striker of note next to him, watch him shine. He is going to be incredible.”

The Gunners are expected to sign at least one striker in the summer transfer window having missed out on Dusan Vlahovic in January.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are set to leave the Emirates upon the expiration of their contracts on 30 June.
