Finance guru: Arsenal have just matched Man City as ‘£65m-a-year’ deal agreed
Arsenal have likely just matched Man City’s £65million-a-year kit deal.
That is the view of finance expert Doctor Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gunners’ new deal with Adidas.
The North Londoners announced last Friday (30 September) that they had extended their deal with the German sportswear giants by six years until 2030.

The Premier League leaders’ previous agreement with Adidas was worth a reported £60m-a-year and has proved a major commercial success.
The renewed arrangement will see Adidas place greater emphasis on Arsenal’s women’s team as well as continued focus on charity and sustainability initiatives.
Plumley claims it is feasible that the club have secured an upswing on their last deal that would see them match City’s package with Puma.
“There are no public figures on the new agreement but we can use benchmarks,” the Sheffield Hallam University expert told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“The previous deal with Adidas was worth £60m-a-year, which was a substantial increase on their previous deal.
“Then you have other benchmarks. Man United’s £75m-a-year deal with Adidas is still the biggest. There are some performance-related bonuses and reductions in there as well.

“Man City is reported £65m, Chelsea £60m. Arsenal are in that top tier of English football. Even if they rolled it over at £60m, that’s still a good deal. If they pushed it closer to City’s £65m, even better.
“So, while there are no specific figures available, they are in the top four of English football when it comes to kit deals.”
