Arsenal make Myles Lewis-Skelly transfer decision after what he did vs Bayern Munich
Arsenal have no plans to entertain offers for Myles Lewis-Skelly in the January transfer window despite his disappointing display against Bayern Munich.
Mikel Arteta’s side beat Bayern Munich 3-1 at the Emirates in midweek, but Lewis-Skelly was slammed by Arsenal fans for his performance up against Michael Olise.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 19-year-old’s performance is not a concern despite the ongoing speculation about his future in Arteta’s plans and whether he could leave the Emirates in January.
Despite struggling with a lack of playing time, and potential lack of rhythm after his time out of the starting XI, he is still seen as an important player in the squad.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 14 November that Arsenal are not willing to lose Lewis-Skelly and see him as a valuable part of their plans.

Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly exit stance revealed
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 17 November that Arsenal will not let Lewis-Skelly leave given his importance to the squad.
Riccardo Calafiori has been the first-choice left-back at the Emirates this season, but has a patchy injury history, and another blow could see the 19-year-old called upon.
Lewis-Skelly is seen as an important player for the future under Arteta, and any suggestions that he could move on have now been dismissed.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Look, Arsenal still see him, Lewis-Skelly, as a key part of their long-term plans at the club.
“He signed a new long-term contract not long ago as well, so I don’t think they would even consider letting him go to join a Premier League rival.
“He got a rare start against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, where he struggled a bit but I think any player is going to struggle against Michael Olise.
“They won’t be too harsh on him after that performance, I think he was lacking a bit of rhythm as well.
“Arsenal are not considering letting him go, they’re fighting on all fronts this season, top of the Premier League and Champions League tables as well.
“They won’t want to weaken the squad by letting any players go, let along Lewis-Skelly who is a key part of their plans going forward.”
Eberechi Eze told to step up after Tottenham hattrick
The other player who has become a major talking point at Arsenal in the last week is Eberechi Eze, following his sensational hattrick in the 4-1 win against Tottenham.
His goals were made sweeter by the fact Eze turned down Tottenham to join Arsenal, and he has now established himself as a fan-favourite at the Emirates.
However, Brown told Football Insider that Eze must become more consistent at Arsenal if he is to become one of the elite players at the top of the game.

Brown told Football Insider in July that there were doubts over Eze’s move to Arsenal and whether he could be consistent enough to justify his price tag.
The former Crystal Palace star has been told he must now build on his strong start at the Emirates after gaining the love of the supporters.
