Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker said “it was amazing to see” Ramsdale, 23, push Leno, 30, over to the fans “to get his acclaim.”

Speaking to club media (19 March), Arteta revealed Ramsdale “wanted to be” at Villa Park to support Leno despite his injury.
The Gunners boss said Ramsdale’s actions say “a lot about what is happening behind the scenes.”
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his reaction to the scenes at full-time, Campbell said: “This was an opportunity for Leno to stake his claim.
“Leno is probably going to be leaving at the end of the season but he can only do himself favours by performing well between now and the end of the season.
“Leno came in and did really well against Aston Villa. It was really nice to see Ramsdale push Leno towards the fans to get his acclaim because he deserved it. It was amazing to see.”

Leno will have just 12 months left on his contract at the Emirates come the summer.
