Arsenal news: Pundit shares ‘huge’ verdict as ‘out of nowhere’ claim issued
Paddy Kenny has told Football Insider Arsenal will finish fourth in the Premier League this season.
The former Leeds United stopper has been blown away by the job Mikel Arteta is doing.
The Gunners returned to fourth in the Premier League thanks to their 2-0 win over Leicester on Sunday (13 March).
Arsenal are one point above fifth-placed Man United though they have three games in hand on the Red Devils, West Ham and Wolves below them.
Tottenham have only played one more game than Arsenal but sit six points behind their North London rivals.
Kenny is backing Arsenal to hang on and return to the Champions League.
“You would back Arsenal at the moment,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“They have come out of nowhere to make that position their own. Finishing fourth would be huge for them.
“They have these games in hand as well and that will decide everything, for me.
“You would rather have the points in the bag but Arsenal are winning every game at the moment.
“You would fancy them against anyone. Tottenham have been so inconsistent and Man United aren’t quite there.
“I think West Ham and Wolves are probably out of it, which is a shame for both clubs.
“You have to say it’s Arsenal at the moment and if they get it then you have to be looking at Arteta for manager of the season, what a job he’s doing.”

The Gunners are next in action against Liverpool on Wednesday (16 March).
They then travel to Aston Villa next weekend (19 March).
