Arsenal plan to accept Kieran Tierney offer – sources

Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for left-back Kieran Tierney in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old has been out on loan at La Liga club Real Sociedad for the 2023-24 campaign.

Tierney has struggled to nail down a place in Mikel Arteta’s lineup in recent seasons and was allowed to depart the club temporarily last summer (2023).

The Scotland international will have two years left to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium in June.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Zinchenko has been linked with a potential switch to Bayern Munich or Newcastle United in recent weeks, but Football Insider revealed on Monday (11 March) that Arsenal are not willing to move him on.

Arsenal ready to listen to offers for Tierney this summer

However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Tierney is much more likely to be sold in the upcoming summer window and an appropriate offer will see him let go permanently.

He has made 14 starts in 19 total appearances for Real Sociedad in the 2023-24 campaign.

The left-back has recently recovered from his second hamstring injury of the season – with injury also limiting his involvement during his time at Arsenal.

Tierney, who could play for Scotland at Euro 2024, has made 124 total appearances for the Gunners since joining from Celtic for a reported £25million in 2019.

Jakub Kiwior has recently impressed at left-back for Arteta’s side in the absence of Zinchenko – despite being a natural centre-back.

Arsenal sit top of the Premier League with 10 games of this season left to play.
