Kieran Maguire: Arsenal have set themselves up for ‘the next 20 years’ with bargain deal
Arsenal know that one successful signing through the TransferRoom service effectively finances their use of the platform for “the next 20 years.“
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the “innovative” platform dubbed ‘eBay for transfers’.
As relayed by The i on Wednesday (13 July), Arsenal are one of the Premier League sides to use TransferRoom, which links players seeking a move with viable clubs.

It is understood that the Gunners sealed deals for 21-year-old defender Harry Clark and 19-year-old forward Nikolaj Moller in 2020 and 2021 respectively through the service.
The subscription fee for the premium version of the platform is said to be in the five-figure bracket.
But Maguire explains that the North London club will see that as a small price to pay if they continue to source quality youth players through the medium.
“This just makes sense and they have clearly had success with it,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“You only have to get it right once and it pays for itself for the next 20 years.
“Using a range of tools, both traditional and innovative, has to be part of any club’s arsenal in terms of their recruitment strategy.”

Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 in a friendly in Baltimore on Sunday (17 July).
Next up for Mikel Arteta’s side are friendlies against Orlando City and Sevilla ahead of their 2022-23 season opener against Crystal Palace on 5 August.
