Injury expert makes ‘massive’ Tierney claim after confirmed Arsenal news
Kieran Tierney will likely return to the matchday squad when Arsenal face Leicester City today.
So says injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Tierney sat out the Gunners’ last two games, a 3-1 win over Aston Villa and 2-0 League Cup victory over Leeds, with an ankle problem.

The 24-year-old left-back suffered heavy bruising during a training session, as confirmed by the club on 22 October.
As quoted by football.london on 29 October, Mikel Arteta revealed that Tierney “feels better” but his fitness would be assed in the next 24 hours.
Dinnery anticipates that the Scotland international will be involved in some capacity against the Foxes tomorrow.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “With heavy bruising, it will often just be a case of pain management.
“There was no real mention of Tierney prior to the game against Aston Villa. But we do know that he missed a session on Wednesday prior to the game.
“He was pictured on the training pitches on Thursday but then withdrew later on. That was an indication that the severity of the problem isn’t too bad.
“I would say he was a 50-50 call for that Friday night game. I didn’t think Mike Arteta would risk him for the League Cup game either.

“But I think he’d be fairly confident that he’ll be in and around the squad when it comes to game week 10.
“Tavares and Kolasinac had the chance to come in, which is good for them. But he is a massive presence in the defence. They’ll be glad to get him back.
