‘Arsenal to break the bank in huge Morgan Rogers transfer claim’
Arsenal are looking to add some attacking quality to their ranks, and Mikel Arteta has been urged to bring in Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.
The Gunners finished second in the Premier League for the third successive year last season, and are looking to sign players that will get them over the finishing line.
In the Champions League, the North London side were beaten by eventual winners PSG in the semi-finals, and they fell at the same stage in the League Cup as well.
Arteta faced heavy criticism from Arsenal fans as they finished another campaign without a trophy, and the Spaniard’s job will be in real danger if the Gunners fail to claim any major silverware next season.

Rogers better than Rodrygo
As a result of missing out on Champions League football, Aston Villa may be forced to sell Morgan Rogers this summer, to ensure they don’t fall foul of PSR rules.
Both Manchester City and Chelsea are thought to be interested in the midfielder, but it seems as if Arsenal are also looking to bring the Villa man to the Emirates.
Speaking live on talkSPORT, former Gunners midfielder Ray Parlour urged the North London side to splash the cash on Rogers, saying: “I think he’s got so much potential, I’d pay the money to get him.
“He’s 22 years old, he’s going to get better. He can play number ten, he can play wide, and he can score you some goals as well.
“I’d rather have him than Rodrygo.”
Rogers could add something different to Arsenal
Football Insider Verdict
Under Arteta, Arsenal have a very structured and rigid way of playing, particularly in an attacking sense, and they often complete a lot of passes in and around the opposition’s box.
However, when they come up against a low block, they sometimes struggle to break through, lacking that little bit of technical quality to prise open a resolute defence.
Rogers could be the man to bring that creative spark to the Gunners’ attack, and potentially turn some of the frustrating draws into wins.
Games | Goals | Assists |
37 | 8 | 10 |
The 22-year-old racked up eight goals and ten assists in the 2024/25 campaign, during his 37 Premier League appearances for Aston Villa.
In addition, Martin Odegaard’s Arsenal performances towards the end of the season were less than impressive, and providing the Norwegian with some competition could spur him on to improve.
