Arsenal told to complete ‘brilliant’ striker signing after source’s reveal – pundit
Frank McAvennie has urged Arsenal to sign an out and out striker this month.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said having a proven striker would benefit Gabriel Jesus.
According to CalcioMercato (15 January), the Gunners have stepped up their interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Mikel Arteta’s side were beaten to the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk by London rivals Chelsea.
On Tuesday (17 January), sources told this site that Arsenal tried to hijack the Blues’ deal for Mudryk at the eleventh hour but the player’s camp felt the offer came too late.
Missing out on the Ukrainian means Arteta’s side are ready to make serious offer for Vlahovic, 22.
The London club were linked with the forward last year following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure from the Emirates but a move was seen as too expensive.
After missing out on Mudryk it is believed Arteta is ready to divert those funds into Vlahovic.
McAvennie insisted signing a striker is imperative for Arsenal.
“I think if Arsenal get a brilliant out -and-out striker, that is what they need,” he told Football Insider.

“Jesus could play off any decent striker. That would be a match made in heaven. Jesus is a good player. I get that he is not an out and out striker but he is not doing too bad.
“If they got a striker in Arsenal would be scoring more goals, and they are already scoring quite a few without an out and out striker.“
