Arsenal told to complete ‘brilliant’ Wenger move after confirmed news – pundit
Frank McAvennie insists it would be “wonderful” if Arsene Wenger returned to Arsenal.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists there is no shame in Mikel Arteta wanting help.
As quoted by the Evening Standard (30 November), Arsenal technical director Edu revealed in a matchday programme that he would like Wenger to be “closer to the club”.

It comes after Gunners manager Mikel Arteta said he would be “delighted” to have the ex-Arsenal boss more involved.
Wenger is currently the head of global football development at FIFA and has not been in the dugout since leaving the Emirates in 2018.
McAvennie claims it would be “wonderful” for Arteta if Wenger made a return to the Emirates.
“I don’t think there is anything wrong with that,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“If Wenger thinks he can be of service and Arteta wants him, I don’t see a problem with that.
“I actually think it’s wonderful that a young coach would admit he could do with a bit of help.
“Who better than Arteta? That man is Arsenal through and through.
“I’m sure he wouldn’t cause any trouble. It’s not like he would be managing the team.
“He can help with transfers, maybe a touch of coaching. Just having him around would be amazing for those players.
“I think it would be a brilliant move. Get it done.”

Arsenal are seventh in the Premier League.
The Gunners have lost three of their last five league games.
