Arsenal told to complete ‘perfect’ Michael Olise signing after ‘£40m’ update -Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Arsenal should pursue a “perfect” summer move for Crystal Palace youngster Michael Olise.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the title-chasing Gunners currently lack depth in wide areas.
According to Football Transfers (12 April), Arsenal are interested in signing Olise, 21, this summer as they see him as an ideal backup for Bukayo Saka.
The report claims Crystal Palace will want a fee of more than £40million in order to part with the France Under-21 international, who is under contract until June 2026.
Olise was in inspired form against Leeds last week (9 April), registering three assists as the Eagles claimed a vital 5-1 away win.
He has notched two goals and eight assists across 32 total appearances in all competitions this term.
Arsenal are well-placed to seal a first league title for 19 years and thus virtually guaranteed to return to the Champions League in the 2023-24 campaign.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think he’d fit perfectly into that Arsenal side.
“He’d be a great backup for Saka. Hopefully, Arsenal’s top players don’t get injured, but if Saka did – they don’t have a replacement on that right-hand side.
“I think Olise would be a great signing, but it just depends on what kind of fee Crystal Palace would ask for in the summer window.”

Olise cost Palace a reported fee of £8million when he joined the club from Reading in 2021.
He has since racked up 55 Premier League appearances for the Eagles.
