Aston Villa and Newcastle backed to make Gabriel Martinelli moves as Arsenal price revealed
Aston Villa or Newcastle United could be the perfect destination for Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli this summer.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that more Premier League clubs should be eyeing a deal for the Brazilian.
The 25-year-old notched 11 goals and seven assists across all competitions in 2025-26, but Mikel Arteta started him in just 11 Premier League games.
Martinelli has often been linked with a move away, and with Christos Tzolis arriving on a £34million deal, the rumours are growing in North London.
According to The Athletic (12 August), the Gunners have now received a €45m (£38.4m) from Turkish giants Galatasaray for the talented winger.
It is understood that Arsenal would be open to an exit for Martinelli, and now Premier League clubs are being urged to hijack the deal this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson revealed his surprise that more Premier League teams aren't eyeing a move for the Brazilian.
"On the face of it, it's a relatively low fee, and it's a surprise that there's not more teams that are in for him," he said.
"If he doesn't want to go to Turkey, who else is offering? I guess the tier of team that would ordinarily want him would be an Aston Villa or a Newcastle United.
"Maybe they just don't have the capacity to be able to do that deal. He's a player that it feels like a number of Premier League clubs could use him, especially for that sort of fee.
"If it's €45m (£38m), there really should be a number of teams that could do the deal."
Why a move abroad could be difficult for Martinelli
Martinelli would likely make a positive impact in European's top five leagues, but it might be tricker for the winger to strike a deal outside of England.
"The problem is most of Italy is closed for immediate deals. They might do loans with options to buy. We've seen that now with a couple of deals," Borson told Football Insider.
"Germany, unless Bayern Munich are interested, [Borussia] Dortmund tend to only want deals for very young players. I'm not sure where else in Germany you could go.
"France is closed for business outside of PSG, and PSG don't want him. And Spain, do Atletico want to or need him? And if the answer is no, he's not good enough for Barcelona or Real Madrid."
Villa and Newcastle both appear to be in need of further reinforcements in the final third, but it remains to be seen if either will make a move this summer.
