Galatasaray have now emerged as the odds-on favourites to secure a late deal for Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli this summer transfer window.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that the Gunners had received a £38.4million bid from the Turkish club for the Brazil international.

Arsenal are happy to let the winger go if an attractive bid comes in, and it is unknown if this meets that threshold.

Martinelli is not pushing to leave the Emirates this summer, despite Galatasaray’s bid.

Nevertheless, one UK bookmaker has now slashed the odds of the Turkish side completing the deal down to 10/11.

Martinelli currently has just one year left on his contract at Arsenal, but the club do hold the option to extend it until 2028.

Gabriel Martinelli edging closer to Arsenal exit

While it is unclear if Arsenal will accept the bid reported by The Athletic, Martinelli’s stay at the club appears to be coming to an end.

The winger has been linked with an exit all summer, with the Gunners also eyeing multiple potential replacements.

As a result, even if Arsenal decide to reject Galatasaray’s £38.4m bid, an exit feels inevitable this summer.

Despite Arsenal winning the Premier League last season, Martinelli was not fantastic and only scored once in the English top-flight.

Therefore, Mikel Arteta may want a substantial upgrade ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

What other business could Arsenal complete this summer?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Ezri Konsa would find a move to Arsenal attractive this summer.

The Aston Villa centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates all summer after impressing at Villa Park for years.

The Birmingham outfit have placed a £60m price tag on the England international’s head in hopes of ending any interest in their star defender.

Sources have indicated that Villa are doing “everything they can” to keep hold of Konsa, and convince him that they can match his ambitions in the coming years.
