Arsenal and Aston Villa have registered interest in Leicester City rising star Lorenz Hutchinson, sources have told Football Insider.

The Foxes will listen to offers for the 18-year-old winger in the last week of the window as they are in financial strife after their relegation to League One.

The two Premier League sides face competition from abroad, with Lazio also making an enquiry for the youngster.

Even though Hutchinson has yet to make his senior debut at Leicester, he has shown great promise in their academy in recent years.

Last season he netted 15 goals in 15 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League, and also picked up five assists.

The youngster will be out of contract next summer, which could allow clubs to strike a potential bargain this transfer window.

How good is Lorenz Hutchinson?

When examining his stats from the last campaign, Hutchinson is no doubt a promising young player.

The attacker’s form for the Under 18s saw him called up to the Foxes’ Premier League 2 squad, where he continued to impress.

According to Fotmob on 27 August, in the 12 matches he played in the division, he averaged 0.46 goals, 3.00 shots, 1.04 shots on target, 0.35 assists, 1.50 chances created and 0.23 big chances created per 90 minutes.

Therefore, it is clear that if Arsenal or Aston Villa are able to harness this potential and develop him further, he could go on to become a big player in the Premier League.

However, it remains to be seen if either side are able to win the race for the youngster this summer.

Who else are Arsenal looking to sign this summer?

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez this summer transfer window.

Speculation surrounding the striker’s future has been ongoing throughout the summer, with Barcelona keen on his signature.

However, with Atletico unwilling to sell to their Spanish rivals, Arsenal could now swoop in to secure the signing of the Argentina international.

In fact, Arsenal are now the odds-on favourites to sign Alvarez before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

However, it remains to be seen if the Gunners are able to strike a deal for the attacker in the closing days of the summer transfer window.
