Victor Osimhen’s stance on Arsenal move revealed as ‘left-field’ transfer explored
Victor Osimhen is keen to join Arsenal after they explored the conditions of a possible move for his services, sources have told Football Insider.
Mikel Arteta has been targeting a new starting left winger throughout the summer window but is yet to land the player he wants.
Arsenal's focus could well shift to signing a new centre-forward as they struggle to make additions out wide, after reports claimed that they had asked Galatasaray about Osimhen's potential availability.
Their surprising approach came after the Turkish giants had submitted a bid to sign Gabriel Martinelli, which has been turned down by the Brazilian.
Following the Gunners' enquiry, Osimhen is interested in exploring a move to North London, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast.
He has proven his worth in several top European leagues and may well see the Premier League as the natural next step in his career at 27-years-old.

Viktor Gyokeres helped fire Arsenal to the Premier League title last season but still largely flattered to deceive in the big moments.
Sources have told Football Insider that Arsenal could sign Osimhen for around £60million, which may be a price that they feel is too good to turn down this summer.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “It's a bit of a left-field move this one, excuse the pun, because Arsenal were looking for a left-sided attacker rather than a striker.
"But if Osimhen is available for that fee and he's interested in a move to Arsenal, I'm sure it's something that they're actively exploring right now as well.
“There's every possibility that Arsenal could do it, because I'm sure Osimhen himself would be interested in a move to the Premier League champions and a move to the Emirates."

Reports last week claimed that Arsenal had offered young star Lewis-Skelly to both Man United and Chelsea after he fell down the pecking order in several positions last season.
Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Arsenal have no plans to sell Lewis-Skelly in this window as he still has a clear future at the club.
The 19-year-old made several gestures to point towards a longer stay at his boyhood club after scoring in their pre-season friendly against Como last week.
