Arteta under 'extreme pressure' after 'shocking' Arsenal news via Sky - Phillips
Kevin Phillips claims he is not surprised to hear Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been ranked 19th in a poll of the best Premier League managers.
The Sunderland legend and Arsenal fan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the results of a new poll.
On 12th August, Arsenal Fan TV shared a ‘Best Premier League Manager’ poll in which Arteta was ranked 19th.
The original poll came from Sky Bet as they partnered with YouGov to ask the opinions of Premier League fans.
The only manager to rank below Arteta is new Wolves boss Bruno Lage, who remains relatively unknown to English fans.
Phillips insists this result reflects the frustrations of Arsenal fans regarding their transfer business this summer.

“It reflects the frustration around the club at the moment,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“There’s a lack of signings, even Ben White is unproven, he’s had one season in the Premier League.
“£50million is a big gamble. Letting Joe Willock go is also frustrating and we haven’t been able to bring in the players we want.
“The poll doesn’t surprise me but it’s still shocking in a way. What surprises me is that this is Arsenal and a manager who is 19th on that poll.
“Arteta is under extreme pressure and if he doesn’t get off to a good start there will be a lot of unrest.
“Then the bookies get involved and we all know what happens then.”
Willock is set to be announced as a Newcastle player imminently on a 6-year contract.
The Gunners are looking to improve on last season’s 8th placed finish in the Premier League.
