Aston Villa ace to miss start of season: Three alternatives Bruce must choose from v Hull

Jack Grealish has revealed that he will miss the start of Aston Villa’s 2017-18 campaign due to a kidney injury, and now Steve Bruce must consider his options in the final third.

The BBC reported that the 21-year-old playmaker is now set to be sidelined for three months after suffering the injury in the first half of a pre-season friendly against Watford.

The Villa academy product then posted on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday that he was “devastated” to be sidelined but could not “wait to be back on the pitch”.

However, Grealish’s absence leaves Bruce with a huge decision to make in the final third ahead of Saturday evening’s opener against one of his former sides Hull City.
