Aston Villa ace Morgan Rogers sends message to Man City star after deal agreed
Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers has taken to social media to send a message to Man City youngster Rico Lewis.
Rogers, 22, enjoyed a dream international break, debuting in England’s 3-0 UEFA Nations League win over Greece and signing a new contract with Aston Villa shortly after.
The club announced that Rogers had signed a new deal on Tuesday (November 19) that would keep him at Villa Park until the summer of 2030.
Unai Emery’s side have fallen off somewhat, losing their last four games across all competitions but Rogers’ new deal will no doubt be a huge boost for everyone at the club.
Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers wishes Man City youngster Rico Lewis a happy birthday
Rogers, and Rico Lewis, 20, climbed the Man City youth ranks together before the Villa man left in pursuit of regular first-team football.
Lewis made his England debut a year before Rogers in their 1-1 draw with North Macedonia in November 2023 but both have come a long way since their academy days.
Proud of his friend and teammate, Rogers took to Instagram to wish Lewis a happy birthday as they both prepare for the return of the Premier League.

With Man City also having lost their last four consecutive games, marking the first time since Pep Guardiola took over in 2016, a record fifth consecutive Premier League title is slipping from their grasp.
Both Villa and City will look to bounce back this weekend, with Villa taking on Crystal Palace and City facing Tottenham.
