Aston Villa confirmed line-up v Ipswich: Defender axed in two changes

By Amir Mir

Aston Villa have made two changes to their side as they take on Ipswich in their Championship clash on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Bruce’s side lost their last fixture 2-1 to Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest and his side will be looking to bounce back with a win in front of their own supporters.

Defender James Bree has been axed from the starting XI with Alan Hutton his replacement, while left-back Neil Taylor comes in for the suspended Jack Grealish.

Here is the club’s official Twitter account announcing the Villa line-up to face Ipswich:

Grealish is one notable absentee from the Villa squad after he was sent off during the club’s last league fixture.

The Villa academy product was shown two yellow cards in either half against Forest and is now suspended for the Ipswich fixture.

Nonetheless, Bruce will be hoping to end his side’s winless streak since the turn of the year as they have suffered five defeats in all competitions in 2017.

Two of those losses have come during their last two matches, with the Midlands club conceding five goals and scoring only once.

However, Villa will be looking to build upon their unbeaten home form this term as they are the only team in the second tier who are yet to taste defeat in front of their own fans.
