Adama Traore would be a “top signing” for Aston Villa this summer.

That is according to ex-Premier League shot-stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively after Football Insider revealed that offloading the Spanish winger is Wolves’ top priority ahead of the window.

Football Insider revealed last month that Traore will be available for around £30million and the club’s number one transfer priority is to cash in on him before any new major signings come in.

This site revealed last Thursday that Villa are looking to sign two wide forwards in the summer.

Traore featured 12 times for Villa between 2015 and 2016 before departing for Middlesbrough and later Wolves.

Kenny claims that a return to Villa Park could be on the cards for the 25-year-old.

“It could be a possibility at that price,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“If I was Aston Villa, I’d be looking at someone like him. He set the goal up at the weekend against Sheffield United. He’s got pace and power.

“He might not be as effective this season as he was last year but maybe he can freshen up, go to a new club and be a top signing. He’s an absolute handful.

“You wouldn’t want to be coming up against him every week, especially if you get in a foot race against him.”

Leeds United

Football Insider revealed that Villa are again targeting Werder Bremen winger Milot Rashica after a failed swoop last summer.

The club may soon have to adjust to life without talisman Jack Grealish who told friends he would be interested in signing for Man City in the summer.
