Aston Villa fans all say the same thing about Marcus Rashford as full stats emerge

Aston Villa fans have all said the same thing about Marcus Rashford following his debut for the club in the FA Cup.

Rashford came off the bench in the second half on Sunday (9 February) as Unai Emery’s team knocked Spurs out with a 2-1 win at home courtesy of goals from Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers.

The 27-year-old was brought off the bench to replace Donyell Malen in the 66th minute of the game to kickstart his career at the club.

Rashford joined Emery’s side in the January transfer window on a loan move until the end of the season, but Villa have no obligation to make the move permanent in the summer.

Rashford is under contract at Old Trafford until 2028, but his long-term future at United remains unclear.

The versatile forward appeared to enjoy his debut at Villa Park as he took to social media to thank the supporters for the warm welcome they provided him.

Marcus Rashford’s debut stats were illuminating after Man United move

Rashford’s Villa debut was his first game since 12 December, but he showed no signs of lacking in match sharpness.

The England international was 93 percent accurate with his passes as he made 22 attacking touches during his cameo appearance.

Rashford also showed signs of understanding Emery’s defensive demands as he won four duels and was involved in three defensive actions.

Rashford wasn’t able to provide any goal contributions on his debut, but his positive performance helped the team progress into the next round of the FA Cup.

Aston Villa fans thrilled by Marcus Rashford’s attitude

Villa fans admitted they thought he was “excellent” in his cameo role while others stated it was “good seeing Rashford enjoying football again” after his difficult period.
