‘Aston Villa given backing in Garnacho pursuit with Man United stance clear’
Aston Villa might just fancy their chances of doing a deal to sign Alejandro Garnacho.
The Manchester United star is facing an uncertain future with a move away from Old Trafford highly likely to materialise this summer.
Unhappy about his lack of involvement in the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, Garnacho was then left out of the squad for their final-day clash with Aston Villa.
Chelsea – who were keen on a move in January – could reignite their interest – as revealed by Football Insider earlier this month (5 May), while a number of other clubs from England and around Europe have also been credited with a move.
For Garnacho, his days at Man United seem numbered and that will certainly be good news for a number of interested parties.

Aston Villa told to go and sign Garnacho
Villa have been urged to sign Garnacho but their record-goalscorer, Gabby Agbonlahor.
A report from The Independent (June 10) claimed that Unai Emery’s side had joined the hunt for the Argentine winger with Agbonlahor delivering his verdict to talkSPORT (June 12).
“I like him, I think he’s a very good player,” Agbonlahor said.
“Yes, he’s spat his dummy out at times and I don’t blame him. If he’s played well then been left out in a poor Manchester United side, fan favourite as well…
“He’s just got to learn, he’s still a kid, 20 years of age, I think he’s got all the attributes.
“Can he work on his crossing? Can he work on his last pass? Sometimes he’ll shoot when you can cross, he’ll cross when he can shoot.
“But that’s a young player, that’s what they do. I’ll have him, get him down now!”

Garnacho’s exit is key for Man United’s summer rebuild
While Garnacho will be keen to move on for his own reasons, Ruben Amorim will be desperate to see the Argentine star leave.
As well as being described as “not the right fit” for Amorim’s system, the winger’s reported £70million valuation would go a long way to funding the Red Devils’ transfer business.
Matheus Cunha has already arrived for £62.5million, while a deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo is increasingly likely to follow in a big-money deal from Brentford.
Any further additions could hinge on money being raised from potential sales, with Garnacho top of the list to depart.
However he’s not the only one with as former Red Devils chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Jadon Sancho could leave Man United in favour of a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
