Aston Villa news: Pundit ‘shocked’ after ‘hearing latest news’
Steven Gerrard is planning to overhaul his Aston Villa squad this summer after a drop in form.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Villains’ poor run of results in the Premier League.
Villa have only won one of their last seven games in all competitions, a run that sees them sat 12th in the Premier League.

After winning, three of his first four league games as Aston Villa boss, Gerrard has only overseen two wins from the next eight in the top flight.
Last weekend (13 February) his side lost 1-0 to strugglers Newcastle and rarely threatened the opposition goal
As a result, Kenny insists Gerrard will already be looking at which players he can move on in the summer.
“I’m sure Gerrard knows the money will be there to get players in if he needs to,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“At the end of the day, they aren’t his players. They have a lot of money there.
“Hearing the latest news, it’s shocked me a bit, to be honest.
“They will have to address that at some point. The best way to do that is in the transfer window, which will be massive.
“We have seen Gerrard can attract quality players so I’m sure he will be looking at moving a fair few of those players on.”

Villa are looking to return to winning ways against Watford on Saturday (19 February).
The Villains lost 3-2 to the Hornets in the reverse fixture on the opening weekend of the season.
