Aston Villa player ratings v Hull: Duo get 8/10, 25-year-old gets 4/10
Goalkeepers and defenders
Sam Johnstone 7 – Made a number of saves to deny a number of Hull attackers on his return to Villa, but was finally beaten. One of Villa’s best players on the park.
Alan Hutton 8 – Got forward well on the right flank and supplied the assist for Agbonlahor’s goal. Excellent enthusiasm, played like he had something to prove.
John Terry 6 – Just from watching the former England and Chelsea captain, you could see he oozed class. His lack of pace was evident, but all in all a strong performance.
James Chester 5 – Gave the ball away on multiple occasions and allowed Hernandez to get the better of him at times. Better is needed, or he will find Chris Samba ahead of him.
