Aston Villa player ratings v Leeds: Fringe man stars in 8/10 display
Midfielders
Josh Onomah – 5: The Tottenham loanee was not at his best in the centre of the park, struggling to find the space and time he would have like to try and dictate the game. He was given 65 minutes before being hooked off by Steve Bruce, who would have expected much more.
Glenn Whelan – 6: It was a quiet day out for the former Stoke man in the first half, as play seemed to pass him by. Much more influential in the second half and played his role in both defending and pushing up the field.
Conor Hourihane – 5: A really disappointing display, as he failed to create very little from midfield. He was frustrated by the physicality of the Leeds midfield and was kept quiet before being swapped out just after the hour mark.
