Medical expert names Kortney Hause return date after Aston Villa surgery news
Aston Villa star Kortney Hause could be out until October as he recovers from surgery.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
The Express and Star reported last Friday (1 July) that Hause, 26, has undergone an operation on his right knee.

It is expected that the centre-back will miss the entirety of Villa’s pre-season programme as he begins his rehab.
Dinnery explains that this could leave the defender playing catch-up during 2022-23.
“In the grand scheme of things, this is fairly minor,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“However, the worry is he has missed this block of training and that can’t really be replicated at any point. You might look at the break in and around winter as an opportunity to build up the intensity.
“But to get something done when he returns, that is going to be very, very difficult.
“He wouldn’t typically start in Gerrard’s first-choice back four anyway. Fingers crossed he can keep those centre-backs fit so he doesn’t have to rush Hause back and he can return under his own steam.
“It doesn’t sound like the surgery is anything too serious. Post-operation recovery has really good outcomes with this injury.
“You’d expect him back at the back end of September or October. He might have some involvement with the under-21s to build fitness and sharpness.”

Hause played just nine times in 2021-22.
He was hampered by injury in the closing throes of the campaign, and he was well behind Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa in the pecking order.
