Aston Villa transfer news: Three medicals booked as latest deal agreed – sources
Aston Villa have reached a full agreement on the deal taking Douglas Luiz to Juventus, sources have told Football Insider.
Winger Samuel Iling-Junior, 20, and defensive midfielder Enzo Barrenechea, 23, have agreed to head to Villa as part of the deal and will undergo medicals at the club in the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, Luiz is booked in for his Juventus medical tests on Wednesday (26 June) in the United States, where Luiz is playing for his country at Copa America.
The triple deal has been ironed out with all parties and is set to be signed off.
A Villa senior source has told Football Insider that Juventus will also pay Aston Villa a fee of £25million as part of the deal for 15-cap Brazil international Luiz.
The Midlands giants have been forced to part with the midfield star due to financial concerns – with a potential breach of Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) hanging over the club.

Luiz, who joined from Man City in 2019, also had just two years left to run on his contract at Villa Park.
The defensive midfield star made 204 appearances in total for Villa and helped the club secure Champions League qualification in the 2023-24 campaign.
Iling-Junior, who has scored twice in five appearances for England’s Under-21’s, made 27 Juventus appearances last term – playing 999 minutes of senior football.

The Chelsea academy product has scored two goals for the Italian giants since making his breakthrough in 2022.
Barrenechea spent the 2023-24 campaign out on loan at Frosinone and was a mainstay in the side as they suffered relegation to Serie B.
