Tyrone Mings surely set for move with Aston Villa alerted by £26m-valued ace being available – verdict
Aston Villa will surely part ways with longtime defender Tyrone Mings this summer as they eye a move for Lloyd Kelly.
The Juventus centre-back is reportedly available for around £25.7million as the Birmingham outfit seeks reinforcements at the back.
The 27-year-old was a regular for the Old Lady in the 2025-26 campaign, and played 35 matches in the Serie A as the club finished sixth.
However, if the defender does return to the Premier League, Mings will surely be on his way out of Villa Park.
The 33-year-old struggled for consistent game time in the last campaign, with other defenders now ahead of him in the pecking order.
Mings is also now into the last year of his contract, which will surely tempt Villa to cash in soon.
Tyrone Mings’ Aston Villa future looks bleak
Upon returning from his injury, Mings was often rotated in and out of the Aston Villa starting XI by Unai Emery.
Pau Torres and Ezri Konsa are now clearly favoured over Mings in the squad, and the former England international is not getting any younger.
If Kelly were to arrive, he would bring a wealth of experience playing for one of Europe’s biggest teams.
The reported £25.7m price tag from Tutto Juve may also tempt the club to make an official bid, as it could be a potential summer bargain.
If this happens, Mings’ game time may be even more limited and considering he is in the last year of his contract, a departure over the coming months would be inevitable.
Who else could leave Aston Villa this summer?
Morgan Rogers has also been heavily linked with a departure this summer, with Arsenal eyeing a potential move.
Football Insider has now exclusively revealed that the Rogers saga is set to drag on throughout the summer.
Villa do not want to lose the England international and will only sell him for well over £100m.
Arsenal are not prepared to pay this price at present, despite the 23-year-old reportedly being keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
However, it remains to be seen where Rogers will be playing his football throughout the 2026-27 season as both sides prepare for their Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
