Aubameyang’s Arsenal transfer is a ‘done deal’ after update in last 24 hours – pundit

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s loan exit from Arsenal in January is a “done deal”, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict after Aubameyang’s exile continued.

The first-team striker has not been involved in the matchday squad for Arsenal’s last four games across all competitions.

He was also stripped of the captaincy last week (14 December) and it was the Athletic reported (17 December) he is now training alone and away from the main group.

It comes after a discipline breach when he returned late from a sanctioned trip to France to collect his mother.

Mikel Arteta refused to confirm to Sky Sports today (22 December) whether he will be a part of the squad that faces Norwich City on Boxing Day.

“I can only see that ending with Aubameyang going out somewhere on loan in January when he comes back from the Africa Cup of Nations,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“If he’s on £350,000-a-week, then somebody can pay £150,000, £200,000 of that, a week. Then he goes on loan in six months.

“That’s the only thing I can see, I don’t think anybody is going to buy him at the moment.

“I just see that\s a done deal, sent out on loan.”
