Benjamin Sesko sends 14-word message to Man United fans after heroics vs Everton
Benjamin Sesko gave a special mention to the Man United faithful after the striker scored the all-important goal against Everton.
The 22-year-old has been benched for United’s last six matches across all competitions, but he has still managed to notch three goals in those cameos, delivering a huge statement to the manager.
Michael Carrick has been handed a positive headache when it comes to the final third, with Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes firing on all cylinders.
Sadly for Sesko, that has meant not being able to secure his place in the starting lineup each week, but that could quickly change after yet another game-changing display on Monday, 23 February.
Replacing Amad Diallo in the 58th minute, the former RB Leipzig needed just 13 minutes to find the back of the net, eventually sealing an important three points for Man United on the road.
Benjamin Sesko pens a special message to the Man United faithful
Sesko has experienced a rocky first few months at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils often the butt of the joke after he failed to impress just a few games into his move from RB Leipzig.
Taking to Instagram stories (24 February), he was still high on scoring against the Toffees, giving a special mention to those who made the trip to support the team at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
He wrote, “What a feeling still today! Thanks again to the travelling fans! We keep going,” with heart and praise emojis. Carrick may also see his cameo as a statement.

The supporters have kept believing that United’s £73million signing would get firing eventually, and that appears to have happened for the young striker off the bench in recent weeks.

Michael Carrick has serious dilemma on his hands as full stats emerge
While his underlying stats are not the prettiest, it was a much-needed performance, one which lifted United back up to fourth in the Premier League table after 27 games.
He scored with an xG (Expected Goals) of 0.41, slotting under Jordan Pickford brilliantly, completing 100 per cent of his passes, having three touches in the opposition box and making three recoveries [FotMob].
He also made two clearances and entered into three duels, putting in the dirting work during his time on the pitch to ensure the Red Devils brought back all three points to Manchester.
Had he been on the pitch since the start, there is no estimating just how much trouble he would have been for James Tarkowski and Michael Keane, but he did more than enough damange as a substitute.
