Bernardo Silva tipped for ‘crazy’ Man City exit after £75m reveal – Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed it is a “no-brainer” for Bernardo Silva to quit Man City for a mega-money Saudi Arabia switch.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the “ridiculously crazy” Middle East offer can “feed generations” of the 28-year-old’s family.
According to the Daily Mail (22 June), Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal are pushing hard to land Silva this summer and are willing to offer him £75million-a-year to join up.
However, The Times have claimed (24 June) Man City are ready to offer him a new and improved contract in a bid to persuade him to stay.
Silva’s current deal is set to expire in June 2025 and he has previously been of interest to Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
The Portugal international notched seven goals and eight assists in 55 appearances last season as Man City won a famous treble.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “Here’s the thing, Bernardo Silva has just won the treble.
“Gundogan is the same, he’s ticked it off and he’s trying something else.
“I think it’s a no-brainer for Bernardo Silva. They’re offering maybe five times as much as he’d get at City or anywhere else.
“If he hadn’t won the Champions League, then you could question him.
“I don’t want him to go because he’s brilliant to watch, but you’ve got to think about the money involved.

“Footballers get crazy money, but this is ridiculously crazy money that can feed generations of your family.
“You can’t blame him.”
