‘Best I’ve seen this season’ – BBC pundit in disbelief at ‘world-class’ player in Aston Villa vs Tottenham
There was a moment of incredible quality during Aston Villa’s win over Tottenham in the Premier League.
Rodrigo Bentancur gave Spurs the lead five minutes into the contest, before Morgan Rogers levelled the scores before half-time.
Emi Buenida came off the bench in the second half for Unai Emery’s side and curled in the winner with 13 minutes to go.
Aston Villa’s 2-1 win over Tottenham lifted them up to 11th in the Premier League, just two points behind Thomas Frank’s side.

Aston Villa score ‘unbelievable’ goal
Buendia’s goal not only secured all three points for Aston Villa, but also received a lot of praise from pundits and fans alike.
Tottenham had cleared away a Villa corner, but Matty Cash produced a sensational pass on the half volley to continue the attack.
The ball fell to Lucas Digne, who brought down the long ball and flicked it off to Buendia, with the Argentine cutting inside and bending his strike into the far corner.
Speaking on Match of the Day 2, former Villa goalkeeper Shay Given called it a goal of the season contender.
He said: “This is the best goal I think I’ve seen all season. The pass from Cash is unbelievable, the technique to get it out to Digne, and his two touches are incredible.
“After that, Buendia produces a bit of magic himself on his left foot. It’s just an unbelievable goal. It’s like a PlayStation goal, it is just world-class from Aston Villa.”
Emi Buendia has reignited his Aston Villa career
Buendia was linked with an Aston Villa exit over the summer, attracting the interest of Birmingham City and Leeds United.

The winger looked to be well down the pecking order under Emery, but in the end, a move away from Villa Park never materialised.
Over the course of this season, the 28-year-old has been a revelation and has now scored three goals in his last four games for the Midlands side.
Buendia is pushing for a spot in Emery’s starting lineup, and if he continues to contribute in attacking areas, the Spanish manager will be unable to leave him out for much longer.
