Everton are favourites to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
PaddyPower have the Toffees priced at 6/1 to seal a stunning swoop for Aubameyang, 28, next month after the Mirror reported that the Merseysiders are plotting a £60million bid for the Gabon international.
Bayern Munich (7/1) and Chelsea (7/1) are also thought to be in the running to sign the former Saint-Etienne forward, who is understood to want to make a move to the Premier League in the near future.
Everton are widely thought to be in the hunt for a new striker in January after they failed to replace the goals that went missing when Romelu Lukaku joined Manchester United in the summer.
The Mirror reports that the Toffees have the financial power to pull off a club record move to sign Aubameyang next month and valued the forward at an astonishing £60million.
Goodison Park manager Sam Allardyce has even suggested that it is possible that a deal may happen.
Aubameyang has been in stunning form for Borussia Dortmund this season, even though the club as a whole isn’t having the best campaign.
He has made 23 appearances across all competitions for the European giants this term, scoring a stunning 21 goals in the process.
In other Everton news, this Toffees forward is set to undergo a scan this weekend after suffering a knee injury.
