Blackburn star Todd Cantwell reacts instantly as Rangers thrash Celtic
Todd Cantwell has reacted to his former club Rangers thrashing Celtic 3-0 in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
The attacker left the ‘Gers in the summer after a year-and-a-half with the club, joining Championship side Blackburn Rovers on the final day of the transfer window.
That came with the 26-year-old seemingly not seeing eye-to-eye with the Scottish giants’ manager Philippe Clement, who even admitted publicly that Cantwell had asked to leave the club earlier this year.
Despite that, it seems the attacker still holds a place in his heart for Rangers and is keen to see them succeed.
On Thursday (2 January), Cantwell took to Instagram to give his immediate reaction to his old club dishing out a 3-0 thumping to their closest rivals at Ibrox.
That post from the attacker included a picture of his side celebrating that result on his TV screen, along with a blue loveheart emoji for his old side.

Todd Cantwell reaction to Old Firm result may have Rangers fans wondering about the future
Football Insider Opinion
Following his exit from Ibrox in the summer, Cantwell has already hinted previously that he could be open to a return in the years to come.
This latest reaction to that win for Rangers over Celtic may do little to dampen any speculation about such a move among the club’s fans.
A reaction such as this shows that the 26-year-old still very much has some affection for his old club, reiterating the suggestion that he would be open to returning in the future.
Indeed, Cantwell did show early on in his time in Glasgow that he does have the ability to be a big asset for the ‘Gers.
Given what happened between the two, it is hard to see the attacker heading back to Rangers while Clement is still in charge at Ibrox.
Beyond that though, there appears to be little reason he would not make that move, and given his proven ability, that could be worth the club keeping in mind for the future.
In other news, Rangers have agreed a deal worth over £20million.
