Blundering duo axed in four changes: Celtic expected XI v Aberdeen
GOALKEEPER AND DEFENCE
Scott Bain (Goalkeeper) – Expected to replace Dorus de Vries after the Dutchman’s awful performance against Zenit, a baptism of fire for the on-loan Dundee man but Rodgers will have confidence in him. De Vries is one to be axed after his midweek blunders.
Mikael Lustig (Right-back) – May well keep his place in the side as the Hoops boss doesn’t trust the other available right-backs, the Hoops needs a big performance from a player whose best days look behind him
Kristoffer Ajer (Centre-back) – One of the few who didn’t let the side down against Zenit, he kept his composure whilst his more experienced team-mates were going to pieces, a future Hoops captain
Jack Hendry (Centre-back) – Expected to replace Jozo Simunovic after the Bosnian’s dire showing in Russia, will be arguably his biggest test yet in a Hoops shirt, needs to show that he can cope with big games. Simunovic is the second player to be axed after his blunders against Zenit
Kieran Tierney (Left-back) – Another one of the few who can keep their head up after Zenit, expected to go back into his usual left-back role as the Bhoys aim to go back to basics to get back to winning ways
