Bojan Miovski ‘unhappy’ at Rangers, exit plans revealed after Lawrence Shankland deal confirmed
Bojan Miovski is planning to engineer an exit from Rangers this summer after the signing of Lawrence Shankland was confirmed, sources have told Football Insider.
The North Macedonian star is said to be “unhappy” at Ibrox, with the arrival of the Hearts captain set to land him as Danny Rohl’s fourth-choice striker for next season.
The 26-year-old is intending to try to find a move away from Glasgow this summer, as sources say that he is not content with the idea of playing a bit-part role once again next term.
Miovski will be forced further down the pecking order at the start of pre-season, and that looks set to be enough to drive him away from the club after a difficult first season in their colours.
Rangers are planning to overhaul their squad ahead of next season, and Shankland’s arrival is a big part of their summer transfer aims.

Miovksi initially carried a big reputation when he joined Rangers from Girona last summer, but his signing simply hasn’t had the desired effect.
The striker managed just seven league goals all season, and was often consigned to a cameo role by the manager when it came to the big games in the latter stages of the campaign.

He started just one of the five games after the all-important league split, and was unable to make a telling impact from the bench at all as his team’s league title hopes faded away.
The January arrival of Ryan Naderi and the form of Youssef Chermiti consigned him to limited minutes, and that is expected to be exacerbated even further now that Rohl has Shankland to call upon.
Miovski has been unable to replicate the form that he showed during his previous stint with Aberdeen, and the addition of Shankland is unlikely to be the last of the attacking reinforcements that come in this summer.
Premiership rivals urged to make shock swoop for Miovski
Michael Stewart has backed Hearts to swoop for Miovski, in the aftermath of them losing their star striker to Rangers.
The former Jambos star suggested that Derek McInnes and Co. could make a surprise loan move for the hitman, and added that they would be “silly” not to even explore the possibility.
Stewart was speaking on the Scottish Football Social Club, and labelled Miovski a “top-class finisher” while urging his former club to do everything they can to bring him in this summer.
He also pointed out how Hearts’ place in Champions League qualifying could in their favour when it comes to attracting players of Miovski’s calibre.
It remains to be seen whether a surprise move to Tynecastle would appear to the player himself, but it is clear that he doesn’t want to be at Ibrox next term.
