Bournemouth told to finalise deal with ex-Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa ‘now’ after source’s reveal
Alan Hutton has insisted Bournemouth need to hire ex-Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa “now”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender insisted Bielsa will need enough time to implement his style and the winter break could be the perfect opportunity to bring in the new boss.
On Monday (14 November), sources told this site that the Cherries are in advanced talks to sign the 67-year-old as their new manager.

Bournemouth are confident of reaching a full agreement with the Argentinian after weekend negotiations.
Gary O’Neil has been in charge since Scott Parker’s departure and has been a candidate for the full time position.
Bielsa famously led United back into the English top flight after a 16-year absence in 2020 and his side were renowned for the unique attacking style and extraordinary fitness.
When asked if the former Whites boss would be a good fit at newly promoted Bournemouth, Hutton told Football Insider: “It is hard to tell.
“He is obviously going to bring in his own style, that aggressive man-to-man coverage. If he was to get a job like that, it would have to be now. It is going to take a certain amount of time to try and implement that sort of style onto your team.

“I also feel for Gary O’Neil. I thought he did excellently to take over that team and he seems to be getting the best out of them.
“I think it would be harsh on him but I understand why a team like Bournemouth would want to bring in a Bielsa for the team moving forward.“
