Sources: Bournemouth set sights on Thomas Frank after internal talks
Bournemouth have spoken internally about appointing Thomas Frank as Marco Rose's replacement, Football Insider understands.
The Cherries boss is already under growing pressure, with his team sitting one point inside the Premier League relegation zone after six matches.
Rose was appointed as Andoni Iraola's successor during the summer, but Football Insider can reveal that Bournemouth are already considering a change.
However, Bournemouth will face competition for the former Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur manager, with Crystal Palace also interested.
Frank has been without a club since February 2026, going into punditry, most recently at the 2026 World Cup, after being sacked by Spurs.
The Cherries will be hoping to escape the relegation zone against Sunderland on Sunday, 18 October, but only after facing Sturm Graz in the Europa League.
Is Marco Rose in danger at Bournemouth?
Rose is just eight games into his tenure at the Vitalty Stadium, but stepping into Iraola's shoes was always going to be a tough ask.
With experience at Borussia Monchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, there were very few concerns over his appointment this summer.
However, Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider earlier this month that the Cherries' hierarchy could be forced to sack the new boss following the 5-1 defeat to Chelsea.
The team are currently without a win in the Premier League this term, with their only points coming from draws against Everton, Newcastle United and Brentford.
Pressure is, understandably, growing at the Vitality, and it remains to be seen if he'll be afforded the time to turn things around on the south coast.
Who else is targeting Thomas Frank?
Bournemouth are not the only team interested in Frank's signature, with Palace clearly sounding out potential replacements for Pierre Sage.
Mick Brown told Football Insider last month that the former Spurs boss is keen on a return to the Premier League, with several teams interested.
Football Insider understands that Fulham are also debating making a move for the Danish manager, with Alvaro Arbeloa under pressure.
While the latest on his future is that he has the Cottagers' backing, that could soon change, as Fulham sit rock-bottom of the Premier League table.
