Bournemouth’s chances of agreeing Andoni Iraola deal revealed after Man United latest
Bournemouth have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season so far under Andoni Iraola despite what was a turbulent summer at the Vitality Stadium.
Iraola’s side beat Fulham 3-1 last time out, lifting them up to fourth in the Premier League with four wins and just one defeat from their opening seven games.
The Cherries lost the likes of Milos Kerkez, Ilya Zabarnyi and Dean Huijsen during the summer, but have continued to build on last season’s strong form.
However, as a result of their success, Football Insider revealed last month that Iraola is on Man United’s shortlist to replace Ruben Amorim should they decide to pull the trigger.
Bournemouth remain determined to keep their manager, but his future is currently uncertain as he has less than a year remaining on his contract.

Bournemouth ‘confident’ of agreeing Andoni Iraola contract
Football Insider revealed on 7 October that Bournemouth are in ongoing contract talks with Iraola and are determined to keep him at the club.
The Cherries are now believed to be growing increasingly confident that they will reach an agreement to extend the Spaniard’s stay at the Vitality Stadium.
That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Bournemouth are working hard to tie Iraola down to an extended deal.
“Bournemouth have been fantastic over the last couple of seasons,” he told Football Insider.
“But we live in a world where your own success brings you problems, because these performances attract interest in the best players and the manager.
“Crystal Palace are in a similar situation at the moment with Oliver Glasner. The only way to avoid those issues is by getting them tied down to new long-term contracts.
“I know that’s not quite as easy as it sounds, but it’s something they know they have to do and they’ll be sitting down with him to figure out what it would take to keep him.
“They want him to commit his future to the club because it would give them a bit more stability and direction not just for the manager but the players too.
“Obviously, if the Man United job is available then it’ll be interesting to see who they go for.
“But if you believe the rumours coming out at the moment, it seems Amorim will be staying, and in that case Bournemouth will be confident they can keep Iraola.
“I think they’re in a good position to get a new contract sorted so they can keep heading in the positive direction which they have been over the last year or so.”
Brown first told Football Insider in April that Bournemouth want Iraola to sign a new contract to deter interest from the likes of Man United and Tottenham.
Ruben Amorim safe from the sack at Man United
Football Insider revealed on 5 October that Amorim is unlikely to leave Man United and retains the backing of the club’s hierarchy despite a mixed start to the season.
Meanwhile, Sir Jim Ratcliffe remains determined to back Amorim despite the building pressure and is keen to give him time to prove himself.
The part-owner revealed this week that Amorim could be given as long as three years to prove himself at Old Trafford and confessed “overnight success” is not possible. [BBC]

Amorim eased some of the pressure on his job as Man United beat Sunderland 2-0 at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko.
Speculation had emerged that the boss could walk away from his position given the growing pressure, but Football Insider revealed that Amorim is unlikely to quit Man United.
