Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi reacts to Jefferson Lerma amid transfer whispers
Marcos Senesi could be the next Bournemouth star to leave the club this summer as the Cherries fight to keep their best players in this transfer window.
Manager Andoni Iraola has already lost defenders Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid and Milos Kerkez to Liverpool, and centre-back Illya Zabarnyi could also depart.
Fellow centre-back Senesi is the subject of interest from La Liga and Serie A clubs with his contract expiring in 12 months.
The 28-year-old joined the club in 2022 from Feyenoord and helped the Cherries to a ninth placed Premier League finish last season.

Senesi reacts to former Cherries team mate
Former Bournemouth midfielder Jefferson Lerma now stars for Crystal Palace after moving to South London in 2023.
The Colombian enjoyed a five year spell at the Vitality Stadium, helping the club gain promotion back to the Premier League in 2022.
After a successful campaign with Palace, helping them win the FA Cup for the first time in their history, he has taken to Instagram to share photos from his post-season break, which was liked by Senesi.

Having lost already lost Huijsen, and if Zabaryni departs, then Iraola cannot afford to lose Senesi in the same window.
The Argentine was not a regular starter due to the excellent partnership of Huijsen and Zabaryni, but he impressed when called upon.

Iraola is also looking for a new goalkeeper after Kepa’s loan spell ended, so needing to replace the majority of his defensive structure is a blow to the Spaniard’s summer plans.
Chelsea’s Djordje Petrovic is on the verge of a move to the club to replace Kepa, but further reinforcements in-front of him are needed.
It could put the Cherries on the back foot from the start of next season as they aim to gatecrash the European places.
They travel to Liverpool on the opening day of the season, in the toughest start the club could have faced.
They finished nine points off Nottingham Forest in seventh which would have gotten them a Europa Conference League place.
The positive news for Iraola so far in this window is tying winger Antoine Semenyo down to a new contract amid interest from Tottenham, however, it is in defence where he need to convince players to stay.
