Bournemouth’s response to Liverpool’s Milos Kerkez interest revealed

Liverpool and Chelsea target Milos Kerkez will not leave Bournemouth in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (9 December) that the Cherries will hold out for a £40million+ bid for the 21-year-old defender.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea are keeping tabs on the Hungary international left-back but will face strong opposition from Bournemouth in January.

Andoni Iraola’s side are flying high and have big ambitions for the 2024-25 campaign – which will mean they keep their impressive squad together for the rest of this season.

However, sources say Kerkez is flattered by interest from two of England’s top sides and has a long-term ambition to play at the highest level.

It is believed Bournemouth will therefore have a fight on their hands to keep the left-back next summer if interest from Liverpool and Chelsea materialises.

Bournemouth will block Liverpool move for Kerkez in January

Kerkez is regarded as a top young player within footballing circles and has started all 15 Premier League games this term, notching one goal and two assists.

The left-footer is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until June 2028.
