Brennan Johnson reacts to Neco Williams’ message to Nottingham Forest fans

Neco Williams dedicated a determined message to the Nottingham Forest faithful after their draw with Crystal Palace.

Nottingham Forest’s Champions League hopes took another dent following a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on 5 May.

Eberechi Eze put the visitors ahead with a composed penalty, but the away side hit back just four minutes later, as Murillo fired home for Nottingham Forest to level the score.

It’s been a frustrating run for Forest at a crucial stage in the season, with just one win in their last six matches and four defeats in that period.

Williams, who started once again and impressed with an assist from full-back, made sure to keep spirits high. In a post after the game, he offered encouragement to fans and showed his focus remains on finishing strong despite recent results.

While Forest’s focus remains on securing a European spot, preparations are already underway for the summer transfer window.

Football Insider revealed that Nottingham Forest have identified Manchester City’s James McAtee as a potential target.

The 22-year-old midfielder is entering the final year of his contract in June, and Pep Guardiola is believed to have given the green light for his departure.

However, Forest won’t be alone in the race for the talented midfielder, with Crystal Palace and West Ham both previously expressing interest in McAtee.

There’s also a possibility the deal could be linked to City’s interest in Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White. While a swap deal hasn’t been confirmed, Forest are expected to demand a significant fee should talks progress.
