Brighton fans say the same about Mats Wieffer as his full stats vs Nottingham Forest emerge
Mats Wieffer is not ready to be in Brighton’s starting line-up in the Premier League every week following his performance against Nottingham Forest.
Wieffer started his second successive Premier League game since returning from injury, with the 26-year-old preferred in the starting line-up over Joel Veltman at right-back.
Brighton secured the three points against Nottingham Forest in the first half thanks to goals from Diego Gomez and Danny Welbeck either side of a Morgan Gibbs-White strike for the visitors.
The result eases any relegation fears at the Amex, with the Seagulls having increased the gap between themselves and 18th-placed West Ham to 12 points.

Mats Wieffer ‘really poor’ vs Nottingham Forest
Wieffer kept his place in the Brighton team after impressing during the victory at Brentford, but fans are less convinced about his capabilities after watching his display against Nottingham Forest.
The Dutchman won just four of his 10 ground duels and committed two fouls as fans believed Fabian Hurzeler should have substituted him off at half-time.
Supporters believe Wieffer, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, does not have the ability to play at right-back.
One fan said that Wieffer makes “too many similar mistakes,” whilst another posted that the defender is not convincing.

Pressure relieved on Fabian Hurzeler
With the pressure having been ramped up on Hurzeler in recent weeks, back-to-back victories will have eased fears of the sack for the German at Brighton.
It was believed that Hurzeler was fighting to keep his job at the club following a poor run of form, but the Seagulls now look set for another comfortable mid-table finish.

Just two points off the top half, Brighton could end the season in the top 10 of the Premier League table for a second successive season.
Hurzeler was being linked as a contender for the Tottenham job, so a return to form could also put the 33-year-old back in contention for managerial vacancies at fellow Premier League clubs.
Brighton host league leaders Arsenal next in a true marker of progress under Hurzeler, with the Gunners unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches.
