Bruno Fernandes admits he misses former Man United teammate amid Saudi Arabia speculation
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes shared an emotional message on social media to a former teammate while his own future at the club remains uncertain.
The Portuguese international has remained key for Ruben Amorim this season, despite being deployed in a deeper position for the team.
While he netted in the previous Premier League tie, his future is under speculation after summer interest, with Rio Ferdinand urging Man United to sell Fernandes to Saudi Arabia.
This comes after Fernandes informed Cristiano Ronaldo of his decision not to leave Man United for the Middle East last month, having received three different offers from clubs.
While his future at Old Trafford is still unclear, fans may have noticed that the Man United captain shared a message to a former player.

Bruno Fernandes reacts to Raphael Varane’s nostalgic retirement post
Fernandes was seen commenting on former teammate Raphael Varane’s post, where he reminisced on his career after it had been exactly a year since his retirement.
Varane captioned his post with: “One year today already since hanging up the boots!! New work, new lessons, and new life. Thank you everyone always for your support throughout my career and to this day”.
The Portugal international replied to his post with: “I miss you brother” whilst also liking the message.

The Frenchman stayed with United for three years after joining in 2021, but the side finished only sixth, third and eighth during his three-year stay.
Still, he helped the side lift the FA Cup in 2024 before joining Como. However, after he suffered a serious injury on his debut, Varane announced his retirement from football.
Bruno Fernandes could look to quit Man United

While Fernandes may remember the times he shared with Varane helping the side before his exit, there have been suggestions he could also leave.
Football Insider reported Fernandes could quit Man United next summer after the World Cup. With a number of Saudi Pro League clubs showing interest, he will likely be presented with another opportunity to leave.
Former United chief scout Mick Brown revealed that Man United will not rule out selling Fernandes and that a big offer could be seriously considered.
